    Mount Miguel is the choice school for families in Spring Valley and Lemon Grove.  We have a wide variety of academic, athletic, and extra-curricular programs that support all students.

  • MMHS prepares students for Careers and College!

    Mount Miguel has multiple Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways that prepare students for careers and college.

    • Matador Business Academy
    • Academy of Medical and Health Sciences
    • Matador Art and Design (Photography, Video Production, and Digital Art)
    • Teaching and Learning (teacher preparation program)
    • Engineering and Design Pathway
  • MMHS prepares students for Careers and College!

    • Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID): AVID is designed to ensure that students are meeting all A-G requirements and are college-ready by the end of their senior year.
    • Matador Early College: Students in the MEC enroll in UC/CSU transferable college courses at Grossmont College or Cuyamaca College during their 11th and 12th grade year at MMHS.
    • 9 AP Courses including: Geography, U.S. History, European History, Economics, Physics, English, Studio Art, Spanish, & Calculus
  • MMHS has a tradition of championship athletic programs.

    Athletic competition is an integral part of the high school experience. MMHS has a wide variety of athletic programs in which students can participate.

    MMHS Athletics promotes the concepts of sportsmanship, honesty and quality academics. These priorities advance the highest principles of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.

    • Visual Art Courses: Painting and Drawing, Photography, Digital Art, & TV and Film Production

    Learning does not stop when the last bell rings. We have a wide variety of clubs, activities, academic enrichment, and student support for which students to get involved.

    Academic Enrichment: Academic League, Science Club, Journalism Club, Leadership in America, Eco Club, Robotics, Book Club

    Clubs and Activities: Anime Club, Outdoor Outreach, Driver’s Education, Baseball Club, Ringside Martial Arts, Cooking, Sports Fishing, Softball Club, & Music Production
